Attorney Philip Villaume has been practicing law since 1979 when he founded Villaume & Associates. He was joined by attorney Jeffrey Schiek in 1999, and the firm name changed to Villaume & Schiek, P.A., in 2003.
Together and independently, attorneys Villaume and Schiek have successfully represented thousands of clients in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Our firm's experience and practice areas have broadened with the inclusion of attorneys Dean Barkley, Benjamin Gisselman and Matthew Russell as Of Counsel attorneys.

- Attorney Villaume has published four books, including "Teachers at Risk: Crisis in the Classroom" that one reviewer described as, "confronts and deals with the litigious problems in today's schools in a style that is accurate, succinct, and easy to understand."
- In 1989-90, attorney Villaume argued the precedent-setting case of State v. Hershberger regarding religious freedom for the Amish community.
- Attorney Schiek is widely recognized for the quality of his legal briefs, especially in appellate cases.
- Attorneys Villaume and Schiek both spend time mentoring and teaching around the country at workshops and CLE seminars. Mr. Villaume is an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas and has been selected by for inclusion in "Who's Who" in criminal law and employment law. Attorney Schiek was an adjunct professor at Inver Hills Community College.
